As the producer and anchor of the 10 pm news on Saturdays and Sundays, my job is to plan the newscast and have it ready to go for 10 pm CST. Sunday is usually a quiet news day. Not this past Sunday. Shortly before we were due to go live on Sunday night, two big national stories broke. So I had to reorganize the newscast quickly to report on the Brown University shooting suspect being released and the tragic murders of Rob and Michele Reiner. Not your average Sunday…
